Continuing the time-honored tradition of the Turkey Bowl (flag) football game held on Thanksgiving morning. This one happened to be in 6 inches of snow, which made it that much more memorable. Taken 25 Nov 2010.
Woke up this morning to about an inch of snow, which is a rare deal on the coast. School and work cancelled, starting Thanksgiving vacation a day early! Taken 23 Nov 2010.
Today was my Grandmother's birthday. This is the home they lived in for about 15 years in Shingletown, California near Lassen National Park. The feeling I get from this photo probably is why I live where I do. Taken 18 Oct 2008.
As we were sitting in the HNL airport waiting to leave for the mainland, this aircraft landed, belonging to the 89th at Andrews AFB. Not sure who the dignitary was, though. Taken 5 Nov 2010.
Sure it's cliched, touristy, crowded, and expensive. But it's still gorgeous. We had to visit at least one evening, this taken from the Shorebird Restaurant. Taken 4 Nov 2010.
The only beach that was open on this day that saw occasional 30-35 ft. faces. Locals wait in line for upwards of 30-45 minutes to catch theirs. Taken 2 Nov 2010.
This day on the North Shore of O'ahu all the beaches were closed out due to high surf. This local is considering whether it would be worth it to take his board out here at Sunset Beach. Only Waimea Bay was open to surfers. Taken 2 Nov 2010.
Docked just a few dozen yards from where the USS Arizona lies is the USS Missouri, the battleship where the treaty that ended US involvement in WWII was signed. Fitting that the bookends of the war for the US are located right next to each other. Taken 1 Nov 2010.
Happy Birthday to my dear bride. No, she didn't get a horse for her birthday, but she sure enjoyed hanging out with this one, near Daniels, UT. Taken 2 Sep 2010.
